What are the internationally recognized certifications for the Italian language?

This exam, offered by the University for Foreigners of Siena, evaluates all linguistic areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking. CILS offers six levels of certification, in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Another recognized certification is the Certification of Knowledge of the Italian Language (CELI), administered by the University for Foreigners of Perugia. The CELI also offers various proficiency levels and assesses listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.
The APTIS, offered by the British Council, is a modern and flexible test that can be customized to meet specific needs and assess proficiency in Italian in specific contexts, such as academic or professional.
Finally, the PLIDA (Dante Alighieri Italian Language Project) is a certificate issued by the Dante Alighieri Society and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
